Pumpkin Spice Latte Recipe!

Salaamalakum my lovelies I hope you all are well! I can’t believe it’s November already! I love the colder months for 2 reasons; 1. Cosy jumpers and 2. Scrumptious hot drinks! I love a good hot drink and I’m sure lots of you do too so here is my highly requested pumpkin spice latte recipe! This recipe does seem like a lot of faffing around but once you get the hang of it, it really is so simple! The recipe does use actual pumpkin purée, you can find tins of the purée in world food sections in supermarkets!

Serves 1.

Things you will need:

Ingredients:
1 cup milk
1/2 cup boiling water
1 tablespoon of Pumpkin pie purée
1 1/2 teaspoon of Instant coffee
1 teaspoon Pumpkin spice mix ( if not then combine cinnamon and nutmeg)
Dash of Vanilla extract.

Equipment:
Saucepan
Milk Frother (if not use a hand blender or food processor)

Step 1: Pour the milk in to the saucepan and place on a gentle heat. Stir in the pumpkin purée, sugar and pumpkin spice mix and keep stirring until fully combined.

Step 2: whilst the milk is warming up, switch the kettle on and mix 1 1/2 teaspoon of instant coffee in a quarter of a cup of boiling water. ( you may also use 1 or 2 espresso shots depending on how strong you like it!)

Step 3: take the milk away from the heat just before it starts to boil, add the vanilla extract and stick the frother in and start creating those bubbles!

Step 4: once you’re happy with the amount of froth there is (I usually use the frother for around 40 seconds) you want to start adding the milk to the coffee, use a teaspoon to hold the froth whilst you pour the milk. Fill to about 3/4 full.

Step 5: place spoonfuls of froth to cover the milk and sprinkle with a light dusting of cinnamon and you’re done!

Hope you guys liked the recipe! If you want your coffee to be stronger you can do half a cup of coffee and half of milk it’s completely up to you!
